Veggie Tales

Our local Lifeway store recently held a "Veggie Tales" day as part of their grand opening celebration. Leightyn was "so so so so so so cited to see my friends Larry and Bob". When Bob and Larry came out, Leightyn wasn't sure at first. After a few minutes she decided to go near them. Mylea wanted nothing to do with them except to holler "Bob" at both of them. Logan and Laney also came to celebrate Veggie Tales. Our girls had fun playing with Logan, Laney, Larry, and Bob.

Big Girl(s) Day: Chuck E Cheese, Christmas Presents, Ice Cream, and Manicures

After lunch, Mylea went home for a much needed nap. Leightyn, Jo, and I headed to Chuck E Cheese to play some games. There is a pool (4000 tickets) that Leightyn really wants. It will take us forever to collect that many tickets. I guess every one in Ft. Smith decided to take their kids to Chuck E Cheese one last time before school starts. That place was packed! We had to wait in line to play games. We decided to leave early and go to the teacher store to get some puzzles and Christmas presents. At Learning Oasis, Leightyn played with the toys while I picked out some puzzles to put back for Christmas. After puzzle shopping, we went to Marble Slab to enjoy a sweet treat. Leightyn enjoyed chocolate swiss ice cream with chocolate chips.

After ice cream, it was time to get Leightyn's nails done. We scheduled her a much needed manicure. Leightyn absolutely loved it. She sat still for the most part. Towards the end, she was tired of sitting still. She picked out purple polish with flowers on her toenails and hearts on her fingernails.

Big Girl(s) Day: Storytime

Leightyn, Mylea, and I had another fun Big Girl(s) day with my mom today. Once again, we let Leightyn plan the day. We started this morning at the library for storytime. My girls love to go to storytime. Ms Robyn was on vacation this week so it was just Ms Judy leading the songs and reading books.

Leightyn enjoyed the "Shake Shake" song.

After storytime, the library provides snacks for the kiddos.
After snacktime, the girls hang around and play with the other kids. Leightyn likes to play with the animal pillows, do puzzles, play on the computer, and look at books. Mylea loves to do all the puzzles and also plays with the puppets.

Big Girl(s) Day Part 2: Fresh Veggies and Hungry Girls

Our big girl(s) day continued after we finished at the library. After storytime, we went downtown to the Farmer's Market. We got some yummy tomoatos, watermelon, okra, squash, and zuchunni. The girls had fun going stand to stand looking at the veggies.

Leightyn made a friend while at the Farmer's Market. This dog, Boots, was at one of the stands. She had fun playing with him while we got our veggies bagged up.

When we finished picking out veggies, we headed to get some lunch. Nigel and Landen met us at The Hamburgar Barn. The girls ate a few bites (like normal) before deciding it was time to head on to more fun things.

Leightyn was in a silly silly mood.

Funny Faces

While waiting for Jo to meet us at the ice cream store, Leightyn wanted to take some pictures. We ended up taking a few silly pictures of us together.

Leightyn took this picture. She said it was her "kissy" face.
