Christmas Came Early

Christmas came early from Jo this year. Under the kitchen tree was a gift for Leightyn and Mylea. Leightyn noticed them in no time and was ready to tear them open. Inside the boxes were "Santa's Little Helper" aprons for the girls.

Thanks Jo....they are adorable!!

More Thanksgiving

I found these pictures (on my moms camera) of the girls enjoying some whip cream after Thanksgiving dinner at my parents house.

Thanksgiving

We got up early Thanksgiving morning and headed to the deer woods for lunch. Leightyn and Mylea loved the "hills" and bumpy roads on the way up the mountain. Lunch was great and it was fun watching the girls enjoy running around. After lunch, we headed to my parents house for Thanksgiving dinner. I forgot my camera so there are no pictures. The girls had a great time playing with their cousins (who are in their late 20s) and enjoyed running the show.

Busted!

After the girls had gone to bed tonight, I heard Mylea up and around in the bedroom. When I peeked down the hallway, I found Mylea "reading" books to her babies.

If you listen on this next video, you can hear Mylea "reading".

Cinderella

This afternoon, my mom and I took Leightyn to see Southside's production of "Cinderella". The performance was awesome and there were many talented actors on the stage.

Before the play, we attended the Royal Banquet. As we entered the building, we were greeted by the King and Queen. As we continued to walk down the aisle (hall), we were received bows and greetings from other members of royalty and servants from the kingdom. It was really neat to walk to the banquet entrance.

At the banquet, Leightyn was given many goodies. She received a crown, slipper cookies, punch in goblets, a bouquet of flowers, and a pair of glass slippers filled with hershey kisses.

During the royal banquet, all of the cast members walked around for autographs and photos. They played their part the entire time. The maids and servants walked with their hands help properly. Some cast members walked from table to table bowing to the banquet guest.

The "mice"

The fairy godmother

Cinderella

The evil stepsisters

Before the banquet ended, Leightyn got to take a picture with Cinderella and the Prince. These pictures were put in a cute frame for the kids to remember the special day.

Like I said, the play was awesome! Leightyn loved every moment of it. She called the acts "shows" and wanted to know if we could watch "more and more and more shows". After each act, Leightyn was ready to clap right on que.
