Happy 3rd Birthday Landry Lei

How can she already be 3?????
This year we decided to do a joint friend party for Landry and Maribette (truth be told, time got away from me and I didn't get anything planned before it was to late). We had a small family lunch at Chuck E Cheese on Landry's birthday.
Landry gave us specific instructions for her birthday cake. She wanted toy story, Tinkerbell, mermaid, belle, and the seven dwarves.

Thank You God for giving us Landry! What a blessing she is!

Christmas Eve

Dry Gulch Christmas Train

"You’ll get to hear the true story of Christmas like you’ve never heard it before as you take the 10-minute journey around the Dry Gulch property on our authentic, narrow-gauge steam locomotive. It may be the main event, but The Christmas Train is so much more than just a train ride! Take a stroll down main street and stop in at one of our specialty Christmas shops, or head over to Grand River Theater and enjoy a holiday puppet show! You and your family can head to the park area and take a ride on our carousel, bumper cars, or go-karts, and then finish the evening off right with a delicious cinnamon roll from our bakery. There’s lots to see and do."

We finally were able to get tickets for a night on the Christmas Train. We were told that they sold 50,000 tickets in just under 8 hours. The kids loved this place, the adults loved it too. The little ones loved the pony rides and the carousal. The big kids loved the ropes course and stagecoach rides. Everyone loved the train ride. I will be up at midnight again next year trying for tickets.

Pajama Party

A few weeks before Christmas we decided to put on a pajama pizza party and decorate gingerbread houses. I think the best part of the party was finding the perfect pajamas. Landen found several awesome onesie pajamas but I wasn't willing to pay their price. The girls got their Christmas pajamas back in October so I really wanted to work around Santa and the elves. Two days before the party, Landen found some matching adult pajamas for us.
Decorating houses was fun. The kids had a better time eating as much candy as they could get away with. We used the finished houses for the dining room table decorations. Our little girls would be caught red-handed multiple times sitting on the table picking candy off the houses.
