Our Fun Playful Day

Mylea and I had the best day today!!!!

This morning we headed to the library for a special storytime. The kids wore their Halloween costumes and had a little party afterwards. Mylea was so excited to go as "Belle". We found her costume while in Dallas. She has been begging to wear it, but wasn't allowed to until library this week.

Ms. Belle was waiting on her friends to arrive. I was so proud of her for leaving her hair on!

My sweet Princess Belle!

Listening to Ms Robin and Ms Judy read books!

Mylea loves to see Fred the library dog every week. She always asks me if Fred will be there.

Little Ms Belle thought I didn't notice her taking the wig off.

Mylea was super excited to see her friend "J" at the library. She was very interested in the stuffed animal.

After the Halloween party, Mylea, "A", and "J" had a great time being silly. Us mommas enjoyed getting to sit and chit- chat while they played!
"J" was trying to wake up sleeping Mylea.

The silly girls sat in the window to read books to all the animals.

I love this picture of "J".

Mylea was getting on to the sheep for talking and not listening to the story.

Mylea and "J" puting their animals to bed.
After library, Mylea and I ran to drop some things off at Ms. "Carol win"'s store. Mylea loves to go there and get some candy from the bucket. She loves the hand that attacks you when you grab a piece of candy.

Next we were off to Sams. I was so mad when I realized that my camera was in the car. We picked the perfect time to go. There were food samples EVERYWHERE!!!! Mylea tried every thing she could find. When I asked her what was for lunch, she replied "I'm full from Sams". I'll have to plan more trip there during lunchtime!
All this fun and running around makes for one tired princess!!!

Memories

These past few days, Mylea has been in a trance.
She has been asking to watch home videos. We have watched our Disney Trip, Sea World trip, Christmas, Birthdays, and every in between.

Hula Girl

Thank You Jessica for this great souvenir from Hawaii!!!
Mylea loves wearing it around this house.
Excuse the sad/mad face, it was nap time and very cold outside.

Monkey House

This past Friday, Landen and I took Mylea to "The Monkey House". This is a new inside inflatable place in Fort Smith. We loved it! There were plenty of slide and bouncers. The price was great ($8 for 4 hours) and adults play for free. Mylea had a ball! She loved racing us down the slides and running through the obstacle course!

We can't wait to go back again!

Sorry the pictures are horrible! I couldn't get my flash to work right with the shiny inflatables.

Library Crafts

Have you noticed yet that Mylea LOVES to do crafts????

Every Thursday after storytime, Mylea gets to make a craft before having snacks. She loves going to the library for crafts. Last week she made a pumpkin.

Mylea and "Leightyn" sitting still until time to get started.

Putting just enough glue on the paper.

Takes some serious concentration!

Craft Time!!!

When Mylea finishes her schoolwork, she is always ready to do her favorite thing......make a craft!

In our craft bag, we have many things for her to choose from....finger paints, markers, glitter projects, holiday crafts, beads, beans, etc...

Mylea wanted to make a momma turkey to hang on the wall. I loved this craft because it required no glue! The foam had sticky backs, so Mylea was able to do it all by herself.

It required lots of concentration!

School Has Started......Well, Somewhat!!!!

Mylea has taken an interest in doing schoolwork. With Leightyn, we did everything at the table and packed it all up at the end of the day. With Mylea, I decided to change it up. I painted over our chalkboard wall in the kitchen and then turned the wall in to a school room.

On school days (which depends on our schedule that day) we begin with the calendar, then numbers, ABCs, colors, and Mylea's weekly Awana verse. As we finish each of these, Mylea does a worksheet to reinforce what we just went over.

This has been a learning process for me. Leightyn and Mylea are completely different when it comes to learning styles and attention spans.

The best part of school, according to Mylea, is getting to make a craft when she completes her work.
