Leightyn's Makeover

This morning I asked Leightyn to get herself dressed while I dressed Macy and Mylea.....this is what she came out of the bathroom looking like....
.
She said "Mom, Mom, I did it myself and I didn't get it in my eye". All I could do was laugh.

Happy 18th Amanda

Amanda and Lloyd

The girls and I had dinner at Friday's to celebrate Amanda's birthday. We ate with her family, Lloyd, Laura, Janis and Jerry. Leightyn was busy being silly and entertaining us.

After we ate, they all headed off to the casino to press their luck. Since I had the girls, we opted for a trip to the mall instead. Leightyn insisted that she get a haircut because "her birthday was coming and her hair was getting to big for her".

Just to let you know....Leightyn has been ok with her hair getting wet at swimming lessons. Today she was so excited about getting to jump in and swim by herself.

Can't wait to see you all this weekend!

Weekend Getaway

So we spent the weekend in Tulsa with my mom, dad, and brother. We went to the Tulsa Aquarium on Friday. Leightyn couldn't wait to see the sharks. She got to feed some turtles and stingrays.

While the guys were hanging out in the hotel, mom and I took the girls out for a while. We saw a Krispy Kreme doughnut store and knew we had to go in. My mom and I have never had a warm Krispy Kreme. Leightyn stayed by the window watching the doughnuts being made. She said they were "perfect"

We spent most of Saturday at the zoo. Leightyn liked riding the train and the carousel. Mylea didn't know what to think about the flamingos.

Mylea was ready to see the animals.

Saturday night, Landen and I took the girls to Incredible Pizza while my mom, dad, and brother went to eat. Mylea wasn't to happy about all of the noise, but Leightyn had a blast. She rode the go-carts with me and Landen (Lei Lei and I won the race...she was proud of her ribbon). After go carts, we play miniature bowling and then played games for tickets. On Sunday, we ate lunch at The Cheesecake Factory and then made a quick trip to the mall before heading home.

This week we start the 3 year old swimming class. Leightyn has already told me that she did not want to get her hair wet. Uh-Oh!

Will I Really Have Time To Keep This Updated?

So I decided to start a blog for family and friends to keep up with the adventures of our family. Since everyone does not have a MySpace account, I guess BlogSpot will have to do. Anyways, my goal is to post pictures and stories of daily adventures. In the next few days, I will add pictures from swimming lessons and gymnastics...so check back.

Oh yeah...if you just suscribe to my blog you will be notified when I update the site.

Hope to see everyone at Leightyn's swamp party!
