Lokomotion

Today we went with 18 kids from church to spend the day at Lokomotion in Fayetteville. Lokomotion is the neatest place to play. It has 3 go-kart tracks, bumper boats, laser tag, 2 putt-putt courses, a mechanical bull, and arcade games.

On the way to Fayetteville, we stopped at a park in Mountainberg for lunch. None of the kids were ready to eat so we let them play before getting back on the road. The park had a huge dinosaur for you to climb on and in.

The favorite thing at the park was the merry go round. All of the kids stayed on and went round and round as fast as they could.

At Lokomotion, we rode go-carts first. Leightyn was able to drive her own car on the kiddie track. She needed two extra cushions and still could not see over the steering wheel so the go-cart man had to help her around the track. She was smiling ear from ear. When she finished driving, she rode with me on the fast track. We were in a double car and Leightyn got her own steering wheel to help me drive. She laughed and screamed the entire time. She said the cars were "so much fun" and to go "faster and faster". She was still smiling from ear to ear.

After go-karts we went to ride the bumper boats. Leightyn wanted to ride with Taelor but quickly decided that she wanted her momma instead. She had fun driving around the water until some one squirted her in the face. After three or four squirts, Leightyn began yelling at Miss Brenda to get her out of the boat.

Miss Brenda took Leightyn on to play putt-putt. She was excited about this because she has played at Papaw's before. We somehow managed to finished the entire course in less that 15 minutes.

After our quick game of putt putt we went inside to ride the mechanical bull. Leightyn wasn't sure about it at first but said she would try it just once. She got on the bull and instantly turned into a suction cup. She wasn't going anywhere. When she fell off, she said no more. After a few minutes she decided to try it again with a smile on her face. When asked if momma could ride it, she replied "no, she might get hurt".

Next we were off to play laser tag. Leightyn did not want to play because she thought it would be smokey (Tulsa's laser tag room is filled with smoke). However, the room here was smoke free so she dressed up and decided to go in. Once she realized that all she had to do was run around and shoot people, she was all about it. Several times I heard her yell "Don't shoot me or my momma" or "Be still so I can get you". She loved the game so much that we did it again.

Before heading home, we went back to the go-kart track again. Leightyn told me that today was the greatest day. I can't wait to take her back again. It will be double the fun in a few months when Mylea will be big enough to play with us.
