Afternoon "School" Time

This afternoon, Mylea did lots of "school work". I love how she comes to the table and asks me to do schoolwork. Today, she worked on drawing different types of lines, colors, and matching baby animals to their homes.

My rule is that if you finish your school work and you have a good attitude, you can pick craft supplies from the bag and make a craft. Today, Mylea wanted to use beans and glue.

After school, we went out to play while waiting for daddy to get home.

Last week, after library, Mylea and I met my mom, dad, and brother for pizza. It was a great time and some alright food.

Mylea brought "Leightyn" with her for lunch.

After lunch, it was time for games with Grandad!!!

Mylea has a new best friend!

While walking through Hobby Lobby, Mylea found a blond pig-tailed scarecrow. She instantly fell in love with this scarecrow. Mylea named this new love "Leightyn". Leightyn goes everywhere with Mylea. When playing, you can hear Mylea talking to "Sissy" or "Lei Lei" or "Leightyn". It may seem weird to some people and it may bother others, but I have no problem with Mylea's new friend. It's just one more way that Leightyn is still here with us.

Date Night

Last week, Mylea called her daddy and asked him to go on a date. While I was at a meeting, Landen and Mylea had a date at home. Mylea wanted to eat popcorn and candy while watching Princess and the Frog. The next morning, Mylea told me all about her date. She said that daddy was silly because he moved the couch to the middle of the living room. Mylea told me that she wore her pajamas and ate popcorn.

It was a great night for Mylea and Daddy!

Awanas Kick Off

It's time for Awanas to begin!

Last week, we had our kick 0ff party. There were so many kids in the gym. The church rented an inflatable obstacle course for the kids to play on. Mylea had so much fun with her friends. She can't wait to be a Cubbie Bear. Leightyn had told her all about Cubbies and what happens during class.
It's gonna be a great year in Awanas!
