This morning while the girls and I hung out at the hotel (ok...we were still sound asleep), Landen ran a 5K in through San Diego. We were happy to see him return with a medal!
We packed up our luggage, checked out of the hotel, and caught a ferry to Coronado Island.
During lunch, we had a wonderful view of the San Diego skyline.
Now to take a tour of the island.

Someone had the brilliant idea to rent a 7 seater bike to ride to the beach instead of walking. Let me just suggest that if anyone ever thinks these are fun to tour places with.....don't do it! Talk about a workout! The couple of mile ride wasn't that bad really...we kept ourselves entertained going through the crosswalks and trying to out pedal some local runners. A group of tourist from Japan took several pictures of us when we passed them. Not sure if they took them because we looked cool or because they wanted to remember the crazy bicycle people????? At one point we ended up cutting through some grass instead of using the sidewalk. We joked about having to get bailed out of jail for improper use of a bicycle. Mylea turned around and with a scared face said "I don't want to go to jail"!!

Time to catch a ride back to San Diego.
