We have just returned from a wonderful weekend in Illinois. We headed out around 9:15 Thursday night and made it to Lebanon, Missouri before finding a hotel and calling it a night at 1:30 in the morning. We got up Friday morning and made our way down to the road to St. Louis.
Landen and I had planned a fun day for Mylea before we crossed over in to Illinois. Since Landry didn't join us, the St Louis City Museum was the perfect place to spend several hours.
We visited this museum many many years ago. Leightyn was only 6 weeks old when we stumbled upon this place while on a short vacation. Landen and I had forgotten all that the building offered for kids of all ages. On top of the building is a Ferris while, a splash pad, a school bus, slides and much more.
Outside the museum is a fire truck, a castle, two airplanes, and many slides. The cool thing about this museum is that it is a huge playground. Artists have welded all types of materials together for you to crawl around, climb on, and squeeze through.
Some places were a lot harder to squeeze through than others.
Why climb the stairs or take the elevator when you can spiral climb your way to the third floor?
Mylea coming down the four story slide.
This was only the beginning to our adventure at the City Museum.
