Our animal family that is! Sometimes, I think we should just buy a zoo...wait, forget I said that.....I don't
want to give Mylea any other ideas!!!
Well, Santa was suppose to bring Mylea a kitten for Christmas, but with a baby on the way and moving to the new house, we decided to accept a rain check from Santa. Once a search for a kitten began, it turned it to an amusing adventure. You know how you always see signs saying "Free Kittens", well, those signs seemed to disappear once we began looking. The Toots loaded up one day and went in search for a kitten at the Pet Store. It is amazing what you have to promise and sign your name to in order to bring a kitten home from the pet store or animal shelter.
So, Saturday afternoon, Mylea walked over to see what Jo and Big Toot were up to. She returned about a hour later with this.....
This poor little kitten has been wrapped up, carried around, and tossed here and there since it arrived.
But..... some little girl has been over the moon about finally having a kitten.
We told Mylea that it will be an outside cat once we get the dogs acquainted with it.
So, last night it was suppose to stay in this tub. You can tell how long that lasted.
The kitten took a liking to Landry......maybe because Landry didn't bother it.
The kitten joined us for Bible Study.
And quickly cuddled up next to Mylea for a good night's sleep........
until I sent it to the garage to the rest of the night.
As I type this, the kitten's name is Kylie. Mylea has changed it from Fancy to Tiny to Little One to New Cat to Wonka, and most recently Oompa Loompa.
So, we know have 2 dogs, a turtle, a fish, and a cat. Plus the critters in the woods. The deer. The stinky spraying skunk that the dogs played "Hot Potato" with (that's another story).....yep, we live in a zoo!
