First Night of Cubbies
Tonight we finally got back in to our Awanas routine. I am teaching Cubbies again this year. Landen has agreed to be one of my helpers.
We have a Cubbie bear costume at church. Mylea has been asking all day for Landen to wear the costume. It's funny how bad she wanted Cubbie to be there tonight since for last two years, she would scream, cry, and run away whenever Cubbie would show up.
We arrived early enough tonight for Mylea to help Landen become Cubbie. All the kids were excited to see Cubbie.... Except one sweet little girl. So, Cubbie went back home. In class tonight we worked on learning Romans 3:23 and Romans 5:8.

Moving In
Lloyd and Amanda moved in to their new house this past weekend. When we arrived back from Branson, we headed over to help out with the unpacking and cleaning. Mylea was ready to clean. She couldn't believe that Aunt Amanda had already cleaned the toilets. She wanted to clean them herself. Instead, Mylea helped dust and fold the laundry. Sunday evening we went back over and Molly ( their dog) had officially moved in. Good thing Mylea had already finished cleaning and could now play outside with Molly!

Birthday Sleepover: Fun On The Way Home
Saturday afternoon we packed up and loaded the car ready to head home. Before grabbing some lunch, we made a surprise pit stop for some go-cart fun. We all rode the big track first. Next we went to the junior track so the kids could drive themselves. Mylea wasn't quite tall enough to go alone, so she headed over the kiddie carts for a drive. She also had to ride a few rides before we got back on the road. It was a great birthday party! Mylea can't wait to do it again!
Birthday Sleepover: Party Fun In The Hotel
Late Friday evening, we had a birthday party with cupcakes, cookies, and a pinata. After a little party fun, the kids had a blast playing in their rooms. The boys stayed with Landen while the girls stayed with me. The rooms at Castle Rock were pretty cool. Our rooms had the two double beds plus a neat kid cave that had bunk beds and a tv. We couldn't have picked better rooms for a sleepover!
Birthday Sleepover: Castle Rock
This year, Mylea decided to have a different type of birthday party. Instead of having a water slide, she wanted to take a few church friends to a water park. Since water parks close after Labor Day, we decided to find a water park hotel and turn the party in to a sleepover. So, Friday afternoon, we picked up friends from school and headed to Castle Rock in Branson. We arrived around 8pm, so the kiddos had a few hours to swim Friday evening and several hours on Saturday.
