Silly Hat Night

Last night, our theme in Awanas was "Silly Hat Night". Landen and Mylea began working on her hat project Monday night. Pencils, paper plates, streamers, and hot glue were the supplies needed. They finished the basic hat design that night. Mylea added some finishing touches of red "hair" yesterday.

Finally, it's cool enough to make some smores. Mylea has smore making down pat...now if she would just eat them! Maybe we will have hot dogs next time! Landry was content sitting next to the fire while munching on graham crackers.

 Grandad has learned that he can get many brownie points from Landry with suckers! She loves to smack on them. The picture isn't great, but the evidence was all over her lips and tongue.

Bonding Time

This past Friday we headed down to Hon to watch the Braves play Friday night and the Razorbacks finally win on Saturday. It was nice having a low key getaway. Landry ate her fair share of veggie stew while Mylea enjoyed several bowls of salad. Mylea has already asked Aunt Charlene to make the same food on our next visit.

Going Private

We are finally on the last step in the foster care process. A final house inspection and then we will be an open home. With that said, I feel the time has come to take this blog private. I know that my readers are mainly family members and close friends, but we now have to take extra caution with these precious kids coming in our home. We have been told what pictures can and can not to added on social media sites but feel that it is best to take extra precautions in protecting our new ones.
